eligibility
To qualify for the Aging In Place Program, you must meet the following criteria:
- Homeowner: Applicants must own the home they wish to have modified.
- Age 60 or Older: You must be 60 years of age or older to be eligible for our program.
- Reside in Medina County: The program is exclusively for residents of Medina County.
process
Habitat for Humanity of Medina County has partnered with the Medina County Office of Older Adults to streamline the process and ensure that eligible applicants receive the support they need. Please call (330) 723-9514 to start the process. Here’s what you can expect:
Application Submission
To begin the process, interested individuals can speak to the Medina County Office of Older Adults. They will guide you through the documentation requirements.
Home Assessment
After receiving your information, the Medina County Office of Older Adults will conduct a home visit to assess your specific needs. This step helps us understand how we can best assist you.
Referral
Once your information is reviewed and approved, the Medina County Office of Older Adults will refer your case to Habitat for Humanity of Medina County.
Modifications Begin
Our team of skilled volunteers and professionals will work on the necessary modifications to your home to improve accessibility and safety.
